Cartagena Live

During the last few years, the traffic of cruise tourists throughout the Mediterranean zone has increased considerably, and the Port of Cartagena has been part of this development, seeing it's traffic increasing in this classification of vessel and cruise liners.

Cartagena not only offers an unequalled cultiral and leisure tourism package to voyagers and cruisers, but also has a modern cruise ship terminal built specifically for cruise ships which is located in the external part of the sporting Puerto Deportivo, next to the Club de Regatas, the Sailing Club. This is an ideal location, due not only to its proximity to the City Centre and its leisure and cultural offering, but also for it's logistical ease of use.

The area has parking for buses, a taxi rank, and access for vehicles to the commercial zone of the Commercial port, information points and all the services necessary to ensure that arriving tourists are given a friendly welcome to the City, and is also connected to the Muelle Alfonso XII via pedestrian accesses.

The terminal has been recently amplified to permit the simultaneous arrival of two boats at the same time, without the necessity to use external docks as is the current practice on days when multiple ships arrive in port.

This amplification has created a mooring of 500 metres in length and a surface area of 5000 square metres.
